Kalshi vs DraftKings on the NFL: who gives the better price?
We compared Kalshi with DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM on 49 NFL games. It is close to a tie, and the cheaper one changes from team to team.
Is Kalshi cheaper than a sportsbook for betting football? We took the last price before kickoff on 49 NFL games and compared what a bettor pays at each place, with Kalshi's fee included. Against DraftKings, Kalshi was the cheaper price 54 times out of 98. That is close to a tie.
The useful part is underneath it. In 44 of the 49 games, each one was cheaper on a different team. So the question is not which app is better. It is which one is better for the team you want, today.

One real game
Steelers and Browns, Thursday 1 October, last price before kickoff. A $100 bet on the Browns won $124 at DraftKings and $134 on Kalshi. A $100 bet on the Steelers won $67.56 at DraftKings and $62.13 on Kalshi. Same game, same minute, and each place was cheaper on a different team.
Why it is so close
Before its fee, Kalshi's two sides add up to less than one cent over a dollar on NFL games. The sportsbooks are at four cents or more. But Kalshi charges a fee on each trade, about a cent and a half a contract here, and when you take the price on the screen that fee brings Kalshi back level.
